HELLO!!

I’m writing to you from my hotel room in Dublin, Ireland (Hence, the green back drop ;-)

Just got in and somehow I’ve slept a good chunk of the day away (although I did manage to get out and buy a hot little studded-leather jacket!) but now it’s time for bed & I’ve nothing to do!!

We’ve been in England mostly, for the month of December, and no one seems to be able to get on a proper schedule! (8-hour time difference)

Well… we are nearing the end of the Miley Cyrus tour… sold-out arenas everywhere we go. It is insane! Miley - her charisma and work ethic is really something. She inspires a lot of people. What a gift to be able to do that. I have learned a lot and met a lot of very nice people. Now it’s almost time to head home!! I will be able to see all your lovely faces by January ;-)

All I can think about now is hitting the pavement once again to look for bigger & better opportunities… well, that and painting & redecorating my house...

My CD’s have been going like hotcakes! I had a huge box shipped to me while I’ve been away and I’m about to run out already! Maybe I could start a following in England??!!

Btw, I decided not to release the CD officially as of yet. First... I’ve got some meetings and a few tricks up my sleeve… but I’m happy to get them to those who REALLY want one ;-)

I’ve also written a new human rights song and have started working with renowned film composer Mark Isham on the project – hopefully, it will become the new theme song for another cause I have been interested in – Artists for Human Rights. I wanna do some good in the world!!! Enough of all this waiting!!! Tis the season, right??!!

New Metal Detector Drops This Week

The mailman just stopped by the FMQB office to pick up the first Metal Detector sampler of 2009, which means those packages will be coming your way any day now. (Is it still P.C. to say the word mailman in 2009? Perhaps the correct term is “correspondence carrier” or “postage professional.” But I digress…) The latest sampler is hosted by Darby of KHTB/Salt Lake City, and Darby is quite a funny character, so we suggest you listen to his breaks. The sampler also features brand new music from Sepultura, (hed) p.e., Stuck Mojo, Suidakra, Grave Digger and Too Pure To Die, as well as independent artists like If He Dies He Dies, In Harms Way and Evelyn’s Ashes. There is also a pretty killer solo track from Guns ’N Roses guitarist Bumblefoot. Please be sure to give it a spin!

Lemmy, WKLQ Host New Metal Detector Sampler

FMQB is very proud to bring everyone in radio land the new Metal Detector CD sampler, which is being mailed out as you read this. Why are we so excited? Well, that’s because true Metal Royalty – none other than Mr. Lemmy Kilmister – was kind enough to host this sampler along with WKLQ’s Greg Giles and Steve The Rat. Along with Lemmy’s hilarious one-liners, the sampler boasts rockin’ new music from Motorhead, the brand new All That Remains single “Two Weeks,” and tracks from Hollywood Undead, Clutch and The Sword.
